Social media reacts to Florida’s ‘extraordinary’ upset of LSU in The Swamp

There was plenty of excitement in The Swamp Saturday night as Florida pulled off a 27-19 win over LSU.

Florida first pulled ahead late in the first half with a Moral Stephens touchdown catch as the Gators led 14-10. Then, after LSU came back and took the lead again, Florida’s Lamical Perine scored on a two-yard run with 8:48 remaining for a 20-19 lead.

An interception by Brad Stewart of Joe Burrow, the LSU quarterback’s first of the season, iced the game.

Feleipe Franks then ran a nine-play drive that drained 3:53 off the clock. A long punt flipped the field and LSU got the ball with about two minutes remaining from its own 12-yard line that setup the dramatic Stewart pick six.

On a day when Tim Tebow became the sixth member of the Florida Ring of Honor, there was plenty for the Gators to celebrate.
