The No. 21 South Carolina Gamecocks are preparing to welcome the Texas A&M Aggies to Columbia this Saturday as they look to extend their SEC winning streak to 4 games in front of their home fans.

This will mark the first time since 2024 that the Gamecocks have hosted the Aggies at Williams-Brice Stadium, and the Carolina faithful are expected to be at their loudest when Mike Elko and company come to town.

The raucous atmosphere in Columbia will likely be even more electric this weekend, with South Carolina announcing Wednesday that it will open the gates earlier than usual while offering special promotions on concessions and beer for fans who arrive early.

According to an official release on South Carolina football’s X account, all stadium gates will open at 1 p.m. Saturday, two hours before kickoff. They will also be offering 50% off select concessions, along with $5 beers from 1-2 p.m.

Several other schools have introduced similar promotions throughout the season, and the idea appears to be a hit with fans, particularly college students, who make up a sizable portion of the crowd on any given weekend.

If there’s one surefire way to get college students excited for a football game, it’s cheap beer, and that’s exactly what the Gamecocks will be offering this Saturday when they take on the Aggies.
