South Carolina fans furious amid 35-10 start vs. Alabama: ‘Fire Shane Beamer’

South Carolina fans were looking to see how the Gamecocks would compete after blowing a 16-point lead at home last week against Mississippi State. After 30 minutes against Alabama, the Gamecocks showed little fight as they were trailing 35-10.

Fans had had enough, and they went to social media to voice their frustrations — specifically with head coach Shane Beamer:

One area where the fans are very frustrated was the speech that Beamer gave at the end of the season last year. He made statements that this year would be way different than last year, but so far, that just isn’t the case.

Another major issue for the fans is that quarterback LaNorris Sellers hasn’t progressed nearly as much as many people thought he would. At times last year, he was looked at as the best quarterback prospect in the country. On Saturday night, he threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown.

With four more games against Top 25 teams, as well as the rivalry game against Clemson, the season is teetering on a disaster very quickly. If the fans were in charge, the decision would have already been made. However, the calls are getting very loud, and conversations will be getting louder.
