South Carolina unveils garnet endzones for Week 2 home-opener

South Carolina football is bringing a bold new look to Williams-Brice Stadium. The Gamecocks unveiled fresh garnet-colored endzones ahead of Saturday’s home opener against South Carolina State, giving their field a unique design for the 2025 season.

This comes after Shane Beamer‘s Gamecocks opened the campaign with a 24-11 win over Virginia Tech in Atlanta. That game featured plenty of “Beamerball,” as Vicari Swain’s 80-yard punt return touchdown and two interceptions from the South Carolina defense fueled a strong second half.

Now, as South Carolina prepares to host its first contest of the year in Columbia, fans will be greeted by a revamped field that highlights the program’s signature garnet. Combined with a 1-0 start and national attention after their Week 1 performance, the new end zones set the stage for a raucous home opener atmosphere.

The garnet end zones are part of South Carolina’s effort to refresh the game-day experience while honoring the school’s traditional colors.
