Heading into the 2021 NBA Draft, former Auburn star Sharife Cooper was getting plenty of first-round buzz.

However, the first round came and went without Cooper hearing his name called. Eventually, the Atlanta Hawks scooped him up with the No. 48 overall pick.

That has the potential to be a huge steal. In his NBA Summer League debut, Cooper showed flashes of brilliance, scoring 11 points and dishing out 6 spectacular assists:

Cooper is perhaps the best pure passer in the draft class. And, as he showed in that highlight reel, he can get to the rim and score even among taller defenders.

The one big question mark is his outside shot. Cooper missed his only 3-point attempt in Saturday’s 85-83 loss to the Boston Celtics. Still, he could have a bright future in Atlanta.
