Stephen A. Smith flames Clemson after LSU blowout: ‘Give them the week off class’
Some would say the Clemson Tigers should tuck their tails following their 51-10 loss to LSU on Saturday night. Stephen A. Smith suggests they take more drastic measures.
On Monday’s episode of First Take, Smith slammed Clemson for its brutal showing. In the process, he provided what may be an all-time roast.
“It’s the kind of beatdown where the Clemson football team, they actually should be given the week off from class,” Smith said. “They should actually be confined to football facilities. Bring the food to them. Uber Eats and all of that. Bring it right there. Don’t let them out.”
“They shouldn’t want to show their face to anybody. Not just on campus, but in the state of South Carolina,” Smith continued. “Give them the week off class. Don’t even let them go to class.”

Paul Finebaum couldn’t help but laugh as Smith went about his business. Meanwhile, Dan Orlovsky seemed unable to believe what he was hearing.
The 51-10 final score was the largest loss of Dabo Swinney’s career. His Tigers will lick their wounds this week, then get back on the field Saturday night when the Georgia Southern Eagles come to town. Kickoff between Clemson and Georgia Southern is set for 7:30 p.m. ET (ACC Network).
