It was a costly scrimmage for the Texas Longhorns on Saturday after head coach Steve Sarkisian confirmed wide receiver Isaiah Neyor and offensive lineman Junior Angilau will miss the 2022 season with injuries.
Multiple sources are reporting to Orangebloods that junior wide receiver Isaiah Neyor and senior offensive lineman Junior Angilau both suffered season-ending knee injuries on Saturday.

Neyor is a name that might be familiar to some. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound junior was one of the top names on the transfer market this offseason. He originally committed to Tennessee, but flipped to Texas less than a week later. Neyor had 44 catches for 878 yards and 12 touchdowns last season for the Cowboys.
He was expected to lineup on the opposite side from Longhorns’ top receiver Xavier Worthy.
Angilau has 34 starts for the Longhorns over three seasons, playing left guard and right guard. He was one of the most experienced linemen for Texas on either side of the ball.
Texas, in its second year under head coach Steve Sarkisian, is not ranked in the preseason Top 25, but were hoping to make a statement when they host Alabama on September 10. That challenge will be even tougher without two key starters on the offense.
