Steve Sarkisian announced he plans on using young receiver Agiye Hall’s for the rest of the 2022 season.

Rival’s Anwar Richardson during an interview asked the new Texas head coach about the former Alabama player’s future for the year.

Redshirting allows a player to practice and condition with their team but they can not play in more than 4 games for the season. Hall transferred this offseason after playing 7 games with the Tide, recording four receptions for 72 yards. A few short months after transferring to the Longhorns, Hall was arrested in Austin on criminal mischief charges and suspended indefinitely from the team.

After the Louisiana-Monroe game, Sarkisian reinstated Hall.

“It’s great to have him back and going with us and being part of the program,” Sarkisian said in an interview about Hall’s commitment to returning. “Proud of the work he did to get back.”

Hall has played in 3 games while at Texas and has recorded 1 reception on the year for 7 yards.

Sarkisian knows how valuable Hall can be as an offensive weapon. As a high school recruit, Hall posted amazing numbers and showcased why everyone wanted him.

Unfortunately, it looks like it’ll be some time before the Texas offense is able to use his skill on the field.
