Arch Manning played well for the Texas Longhorns on Saturday. The redshirt sophomore went 19-for-30 (63.3%) for 295 yards and 4 touchdowns as a passer and added 4 carries for 23 yards and a rushing score versus the San Jose State Spartans.

Despite this, some fans believe he is dealing with an undisclosed injury based on his facial expressions captured by ESPN cameras during the game. Here’s a look:

It’s clear that Manning looks a bit uncomfortable, to say the least. A shoulder injury would also potentially explain his erratic passing from the Ohio State game in Week 1.

However, head coach Steve Sarkisian is adamant that Manning is not hurt. He addressed the speculation on Monday morning with one of the weirdest press conference quotes of all time. Not just in sports history, but in the history of mankind.

“He doesn’t have any [injury]… I’ve never filmed any of you guys when you’re using the bathroom, so I don’t know what faces you make when you’re doing that,” he said.

Here’s a clip of Sarkisian’s exchange with a reporter at his weekly press conference:

Perhaps Manning’s grimace means nothing and will become as iconic as Philip Rivers’ unconventional passing motion. We’ll find out as the season moves along and Texas faces UTEP and Sam Houston State the next two weeks.
