The Georgia Bulldogs brought in the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class this year, but that class took a hit on Saturday.
According to coach Kirby Smart, early enrollee DB Divaad Wilson was injured during Saturday’s practice session.
Smart described the injury as being to Wilson’s “lower extremity,” saying he is disappointed Wilson won’t be able to be on the field for a while (via OnlineAthens.com):
โI donโt know the status of that, but thatโs disheartening because he had three really good practices and I was really fired up about him,โ Smart said. โWeโll have to wait and see what the injury is.โ
It’s safe to say the extent of the injury isn’t known just yet, as that information will probably be discussed next week.
However, this is a big loss for the Dawgs, who have plenty of holes to fill in their secondary before the start of the 2018 season.
