Taylor Lewan reveals which SEC stadium is ‘loudest college football stadium’

Taylor Lewan played in a wide range of loud stadiums as a member of Michigan’s offensive line.

While fans at Michigan Stadium โ€” and other Big Ten venues like Ohio Stadium โ€” could bring the noise, one stood above them all: Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, which Lewan called the loudest in college football.

Lewan actually never played at Neyland Stadium. In fact, Michigan and Tennessee have only met once: during the 2001 Citrus Bowl. But the “Bussin’ With the Boys” co-host has been there at least once as a neutral fan, fitting given that he played his pro ball with the Tennessee Titans about three hours down I-40 in Nashville.

“I am a Big Ten homer. However, I have been to Neyland Stadium. Iโ€™ve seen that checker. Neyland Stadium, Tennessee, is the loudest college football stadium,” Lewan said, according to AtoZ Sports.

Tennessee will have plenty of opportunities to continue to lay claim to that reputation. The Volunteers’ season opener is set for September 5 against Furman. But Vols fans have their calendars circled for September 26 as Texas pays a visit to Rocky Top for the annual Checker Neyland game, a noon ET kickoff on either ABC or ESPN.

In five seasons under Josh Heupel, the Volunteers hold a 29-7 record at Neyland Stadium.
