Tennessee fans blast Mizzou turf after multiple players suffer first-half injuries
Tennessee has already had several injuries in the first half against Missouri, losing a handful of key players.
Vols’s wide receivers Donte Thorton and Squirrel White went down with injuries in the first half, leaving Tennessee without 2 of its best options on offense. Defensive back Tamarion McDonald, defensive linemen Omarr Norman-Lott and James Pearce Jr. also suffered injuries in the first half.
The Vols trail 13-7 at the half, and if the injuries make overcoming that deficit much more difficult.
While it’s not clear if the common denominator for the injuries is the turf at Missouri, it could likely be a major factor. Fans didn’t hold back on social media after the injuries piled up, blasting Missouri and blaming its turf for all of the injuries.
Mizzou's poverty turf should be outlawed

Again. If you can’t afford a natural grass field, you don’t belong in major college football.
