Tennessee fans sing ‘I Will Always Love You’ together in awesome Dolly Parton tribute

Sports are one of the most unifying things in the world. If any one thing tops them in unification factor, though, it’s probably music. Saturday in Knoxville, the two came together to create an amazing tribute for perhaps one of the most iconic people to ever walk the planet.
During the Furman-Tennessee game, the Vols had a “Dolly Parton Karaoke Cam.” The ode to the country music legend quickly turned into a full-stadium sing-along to her legendary hit, “I Will Always Love You.”
Tennessee’s marching band provided its own tribute, spelling out “Dolly” on the field during its halftime performance.
Saturday was a day full of Parton tributes. The Volunteers also used “My Tennessee Mountain Home” as their fourth-quarter song. The song was also used in a pregame video posted by the team account on Friday. The team debuted Parton helmet stickers on Saturday.
On the field, Tennessee got off to a rousing start. True freshman Faizon Brandon accounted for five touchdowns — three passing, two rushing — in his collegiate debut, leading the Vols to a 56-9 win over the Paladins. Faizon posted 294 total yards, while DeSean Bishop (97 yards) and Mike Matthews (132 yards) paced the team in rushing and receiving, respectively.
Tennessee faces its lone Power Four non-conference foe in Week 2 when it travels to meet the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Kickoff in Atlanta is set for 7 p.m. ET on Saturday (ESPN).
