Both Tennessee and LSU will be down an offensive lineman when the 2 teams meet on Saturday.
LSU left tackle Will Campbell was hospitalized on Friday night reportedly due to dehydration and won’t play. Now, Tennessee will be missing its starting LT, Gerald Mincey, due to injury. Jeremiah Crawford will start in his place, the senior’s first career start.
Mincey, who transferred from Florida in the offseason, redshirted in 2020 and primarily played for the Gators as a reserve in 2021. After transferring to Tennessee, the Fort Lauderdale, Fla. native immediately impressed, being installed as the team’s starter at left tackle.
Crawford, who joined the team from the JUCO ranks prior to the 2021 season, played in 10 games that year. The Kansas product is a former 3-star recruit.
Kickoff between Tennessee and LSU is set for noon ET on ESPN.
