Now that Florida has moved on from coach Jim McElwain, many Tennessee fans are clamoring for the Vols to get rid of coach Butch Jones.
However, it appears Jones will be on the sidelines when the Vols host Southern Miss on Saturday, per a recent release from the school.
According to Tennessee’s media schedule for the week, Jones is set to meet with reporters on both Monday and Wednesday, as per usual:

Following a loss to Kentucky on Saturday night, the Vols are now 3-5 overall and an abysmal 0-5 in SEC play.
It wouldn’t seem likely that Jones is back in 2018, so having him coach again next weekend may simply be delaying the inevitable.
However, it may be tough to move forward with Jones at the helm if no one shows up to Neyland Stadium on Saturday and if the Vols lose to an inferior foe once again.
For now, though, it appears to be business as usual in Knoxville, much to the chagrin of the fan base.
