Texas A&M got some huge recruiting news on Thursday afternoon. Brandon Arrington, the 5-star prospect from California, is taking his talents to College Station.

Out of Spring Valley (California) Mount Miguel High School, Arrington measures 6-2 and 180 pounds. He’s a 5-star ATH prospect on the 247Sports Composite, rated the No. 1 player in the state of California and No. 10 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.

While the ATH label is used for multi-position prospects, Arrington’s future appears to be in the secondary. His lead recruiters for Texas A&M were safeties coach Jordan Peterson and defensive backs coach Bryant Gross-Armiento.

As one of the top recruits in the country, Arrington was highly sought after. He picked up scholarship offers from 44 programs coast to coast. Arkansas, Colorado, Auburn, Florida State, Florida, Miami, Georgia, Notre Dame, LSU, Michigan, Mizzou, Nebraska, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Texas were among the schools that showed interest.

He had Texas A&M, Alabama, Penn State, USC and Oregon in his final 5. Ahead of the big decision, he recently trimmed things to a final 2 of Texas A&M and Oregon, choosing Mike Elko‘s program.

Fans can get a preview of Arrington, a noted speedster, in his Hudl highlights below:
