Texas A&M entered Saturday night on a two-game losing streak, and the season was in danger of getting ugly very fast. However, the Aggies responded with a big win against Arkansas, knocking off the Razorbacks, 34-7.
It wasn’t the prettiest offensive performance, as Marcel Reed was only 13-of-19 passing for 170 yards without a passing touchdown, but also no interceptions. However, the Aggies were able to physically impose their will against the Razorbacks, as they rushed the ball 49 times for 231 yards and four touchdowns. KJ Edwards led the way on the ground for the Aggies, finishing with 66 yards and two touchdowns. Reed also was able to contribute running the ball, as he finished with 66 yards as well, and a rushing score.

Texas A&M also turned in a strong defensive effort, holding the Razorbacks to only 214 yards of offense. The Aggies finished the game with only one sack, but posted 6 TFLs and made it very difficult for Arkansas quarterback KJ Jackson, who was 13-of-25 passing for 111 yards with 1 touchdown and 1 interception. Arkansas managed a touchdown in the 1st quarter, and trailed 14-7 after the first 15 minutes. The Razorbacks did not score the rest of the night, as A&M added 20 points to its lead.
Up next for the Aggies is a game at Missouri, a team that is coming off a dominating 45-17 victory against Florida on Saturday. Arkansas hosts Tennessee, which rallied to defeat Auburn on Saturday, in Week 6.
