Williams is a massive addition for Texas in this recruiting class. He’s the No. 1 overall player and the No. 1 linebacker in the country for the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 3 player from the state of Texas.
Williams chose Texas over offers from programs such as Oregon, Ohio State, Texas A&M and numerous other elite programs from all across the country. He was one of the most sought-after recruits in the nation for this recruiting cycle.
Williams is now the highest-ranked recruit in Texas’ vaunted 2025 recruiting class. He’s one of two 5-star prospects in Texas’ class so far, joining receiver Kaliq Lockett. Overall, Texas’ class ranks No. 7 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
