Tim Tebow offers enthusiastic endorsement of Jadan Baugh for Heisman

The No. 21 Florida Gators are getting ready for their biggest test of the season so far against the No. 4 Ole Miss Rebels in The Swamp, a game Florida actually opened as the favorite in according to Vegas.
One of the biggest reasons the oddsmakers saw fit to favor the Gators is undoubtedly their star running back, Jadan Baugh, who will enter the contest as the SEC‘s leading rusher and is an early Heisman sleeper.
Former Florida quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow was asked about Baugh’s Heisman chances ahead of the Gators’ massive showdown against Ole Miss, and he gave the electric tailback a rousing endorsement.
“Listen, some people do the Heisman pose out of a little bit of arrogance way too early,” Tebow said. “If you watch Jadan Baugh play, from the moment he stepped foot on campus, then you would say he is a Heisman Trophy contender. That’s not because I’m a die-hard Florida fan. That’s because, if you look at the way he plays, he’s the best running back in the country.”
There’s no denying that Baugh has a serious argument as the best back in the country, and the numbers back that claim up. Entering Week 4, he ranked second in the country in rushing yards (458) and was tied for the lead in rushing touchdowns (8).
If he can show out against Ole Miss and lead his squad to a massive upset win, then Tebow won’t be the only one proclaiming Baugh as a legit Heisman contender moving forward.
