Tulu Griffin didn’t need 60 minutes. He didn’t even need 40 minutes to break the Mississippi State single-game record for the most receiving yards in a game.

Griffin is sitting at 6 receptions for 245 yards and counting with 3 minutes remaining in the 3rd quarter of the Bulldogs’ Week 4 matchup against South Carolina, including 1 touchdown reception. MSU QB Will Rogers and Griffin have done a large part of the legwork in keeping this one close.

Griffin’s 245 yards and counting surpasses Jameon Lewis’ mark of 220 set in 2013.

Griffin’s highlight thus far came at the start of the 2nd quarter. This TD connection really gave the Bulldogs life after a rough start paired with a fantastic start from South Carolina QB Spencer Rattler.

There’s a strong chance Griffin eclipses 300 receiving yards tonight. The Bulldogs may need him to if they’re to win this one.
