Updated Las Vegas odds show four SEC teams’ chances to win national title

Several SEC teams remain in contention to reach the national title, but following Week 5 action, Alabama’s odds are especially low to win the trophy.

Ohio State, coming off a key road win Saturday at Penn State, is the second most likely team to win the national championship, according to SuperBookUSA.

Meanwhile, despite Clemson’s quarterback news and injuries of the last week involving Kelly Bryant and Trevor Lawrence, and Georgia’s relative sloppiness in its last two SEC wins, the Tigers and Bulldogs remain in the top four. The oddsmakers in Vegas also listed LSU and Auburn at 50-1 each despite the last-second LSU win earlier this season.

Notre Dame’s national brand and 5-0 record presumably will bring plenty of optimistic bettors to the windows in Las Vegas.
