Alabama remains the prohibitive favorite to win the national championship following action through Week 11.
The Crimson Tide at Westgate in Las Vegas currently have 2/5 odds, which is ahead of Clemson at 4/1, Michigan at 10/1 and Notre Dame and Georgia, each at 12/1. LSU makes it in the top 12, but has slipped considerably from January, and is now listed at 10,000/1.
In another example of Alabama’s perceived dominance by the college football world, the Crimson Tide somehow made the opening odds of 5/2 seem fairly long in context. While Clemson has improved from 6/1 in January, Notre Dame has taken a more noticeable jump down from 40/1 in January, to 12/1.
As chalk has held serve for much of the season, it will be interesting to see if there are any shakeups to these odds down the stretch with rivalry games and conference championships that could lead to monumental upsets.
