Jay Cutler didn’t have his best outing on Monday Night Football.

He completed just 12 passes for 157 yards on top of fumbling and throwing a costly interception that helped Philadelphia pull away from Chicago for a 29-14 win. The former Vanderbilt quarterback even left the game with a right thumb injury he had sustained earlier in the night after the Eagles went up 22-7 thanks to his interception.

To make matters worse, outside linebacker Pernell McPhee had some words for Cutlerย after the momentum-shifting pick.

The brief exchange didn’t seem to bother Cutler.

โ€œIโ€™m fine with that,โ€ Cutler told the Chicago Tribune. โ€œHeโ€™s a passionate guy. Everyone has a lot invested into this, and he does, as well. No one likes to lose. No one likes to in that fashion. Heโ€™s upset. Iโ€™m upset. Everyone in that locker room is upset right now. But the good thing is that we have a lot of good guys in there, and we have a bunch of good coaches. And we have 14 games left.โ€

McPhee, who played for Mississippi State, is currently on the physically unable to perform list.
