For a moment, Tennessee running Alvin Kamara back looked like Reggie Bush, reversing field and dodging defenders to give the Volunteers the offensive spark they desperately needed.

Then it all went wrong.

Texas A&M junior defensive back Armani Watts stripped and recovered the ball at the Aggies 7-yard line after Kamara’s 55-yard scamper. The play was a screen pass on a critical third-and-7 that brought No. 9 Tennessee to life, only for the ball to end up back in Texas A&M’s possession.

The No. 8 Aggies ran just four plays before punting, and the Volunteers tied the game at 7-7 later in the first quarter, but Kamara’s run was a highlight reel play — for good and bad reasons.
