The Kentucky basketball team survived the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament without star big man PJ Washington, advancing to the Sweet 16.

A big reason for the team’s success was freshman PG Ashton Hagans, who had a combined 16 points, nine rebounds and eight assists in the two games and played great defense.

After returning to Lexington, Hagans dished out another assist, this one in the form of two pizzas he gave to a homeless Kentucky fan:

Hagans is only a freshman, but it’s clear he’s growing up a lot during his time in Lexington. This is a classy gesture toward a fan, who naturally responded with “Go Cats!”

Good for Hagans, who seems to be an easy guy to root for.
