Trailing 35-0 in the fourth quarter, it’s clear that nothing has gone right for the Florida Gators on Saturday afternoon.
Now, their troubles will carry over to next weekend, as DB McArthur Burnett was ejected for targeting on a punt return late in the third quarter.
As you can see in the video below, it was a bit of a questionable call, as it didn’t appear that Burnett left his feet to launch into Mecole Hardman:
Yet another questionable #targeting call that goes against the #Gators. This one was worse than the Kentucky game. #UGAvsUF pic.twitter.com/EHFkZ5tjzs

Even CBS analyst Gary Danielson wasn’t sure at first, but the referees reviewed the play and ruled that Burnett’s ejection would be upheld.
Now, Burnett will miss the first half of next week’s game, which will affect Florida’s special-teams assignments.
Was it the right call or not? That’s debatable, but the decision has been made and Burnett will be out.
