Fresno State was already up big on Hawaii when the Bulldogs put an exclamation point on the end of the first half.
As Hawaii lined up a 53-yard field goal attempt, Fresno State sent Jamire Jordan back to the end zone to await the kick. Much like the Auburn return in 2013, Jordan caught the ball that fell short of the crossbar, and set off upfield in search of the other end zone.
With a convoy of blockers, only a couple of Hawaii players got within five yards of him as he streaked down the sideline and delivered a 37-13 halftime lead in what resulted in a 50-20 victory for Fresno State.
Along with the return, Jordan contributed two catches for 61 yards, including a 49-yard touchdown.
The win lifted Fresno State to 7-1 and 4-0 in the Mountain West Conference.
