WATCH: Miami, Florida State benches clear after facemask tackle

It’s no secret that Miami and Florida State don’t like each other, and it’s no surprise that there would be some scuffles when they meet.
But when Miami’s Jeff Thomas made a return and was tackled near the head and neck area, Miami players took exception and cleared the bench to the other side of the field.
Tempers flared, and there were at least three flags thrown during an exchange that resulted in offsetting unsportsmanlike penalties, and an injury to Thomas with 1:21 left in the first half.
Florida State led 20-7 at halftime, and tacked on another TD early in the third quarter.
Thomas, who limped off the field, reportedly had a hyperextended knee.
Per WQAM, Miami's training and medical staff are working on Jeff Thomas' hyperextended knee. His status for the rest of the game is TBD.
