It hasn’t been a fall for much positive news from the Tennessee football program, but that changed recently when Todd Kelly Jr. and Kyle Phillips were honored with an induction into a national leadership honor society โ€” Omicron Delta Kappa.

It’s the kind of honor previously given to such Tennessee legends as Pat Summit, Peyton Manning and Joshua Dobbs. The Tennessee athletics department on Thursday posted a video to YouTube of the players receiving the accomplishment.

“Iโ€™m very excited to be part of this society, Omicron Delta Kappa. To be with Kyle โ€“ one of my teammates, one of my classmates โ€“ is pretty awesome,โ€ Kelly said. โ€œWe brought it up actually a day ago … So itโ€™s kind of funny that we both are being inducted. Just to hear about the alumni that have come before us, itโ€™s a great experience and we are excited to do whatever we can for the society and we canโ€™t thank them enough for inducting us.โ€
