WATCH: WR Calvin Ridley’s speed leaves Washington defenders in his wake

The play looked innocent enough as it unfolded.
Then WR Calvin Ridley took a pass he caught over the middle and weaved his way through the Washington Redskins secondary as if the defenders were standing still. The former Alabama star scored a touchdown with 28 seconds left in the first half to give the Atlanta Falcons a 21-7 lead on the road.
Ridley had just three catches in the first half, but that was by far his best as he had a total of 42 receiving yards.
That was Ridley’s seventh touchdown of the season as he continues to have a stellar rookie season.
It likely especially sweet for Ridley to do it in front of a host of former teammates from Alabama as the Redskins now have seven former Alabama players on their roster.
Falcons are now 8-8 on 3rd down! This time it was a slant for a 40 yard TD by Ridley pic.twitter.com/QxqBmiNeyo
