Gus Malzahn was candid with his wife on the field immediately after a 52-21 loss to Alabama in the Iron Bowl.
The Auburn coach said, “Really got it handed to us tonight,” as he spoke with his wife Kristi, and then walked to the locker room.
It’s been a long season for the Tigers as they’ve struggled to find a rhythm on offense and there have been near-weekly calls for Malzahn’s ouster. But it’s nice to know those closest to you will be there during the ups and downs of a season like this, especially during Rivalry Week.
