Zavion Thomas, former Mississippi State WR, announces SEC commitment

Zavion Thomas has made it a Louisiana day for LSU in the transfer portal.
The former Mississippi State wide receiver last season made 40 Catches for 503 yards and a touchdown. Thomas also had a touchdown each on a punt return and a kickoff return in his time at Mississippi State.
This is the second commitment on Friday for LSU from a Louisiana native, who previously played elsewhere in the SEC. Former Texas A&M safety Jardin Gilbert also committed to the Tigers.

Thomas is a native of the New Orleans area, and before this LSU announcement, he drew reported interest from Oregon, Auburn, Georgia, Ole Miss and Penn State.
Thomas is expected to be fill the shoes left by Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr., who are each expected to head for the 2024 NFL Draft.
