Shaedon Sharpe may have just delivered the Dunk of the Year.
The former Kentucky signee is in his third season with Portland. The Trail Blazers faced the Washington Wizards on Wednesday. In the 2nd quarter, Sharpe defied gravity to deliver a posterizing dunk that might end up being the best of the year.
It was part of a huge night for Sharpe, who scored 36 points.

Sharpe is something of a sore subject for Big Blue Nation. He signed to play for then-coach John Calipari at Kentucky. Sharpe would never suit up for the Wildcats. He ultimately declared for the 2022 NBA Draft after the 2021-22 season without ever playing a game for UK.
Portland selected the shooting guard with the No. 7 overall pick in the draft. He has remained with the Blazers.
In the 2022-23 season, Sharpe played in 80 games, making 15 starts. He was more regularly in the lineup last season, making 32 appearances and 25 starts. He was averaging 15.9 points per game last year when his season was cut short after having abdominal surgery.
Sharpe entered Wednesday’s game having played in 50 contests, averaging 16.9 points over 29.6 minutes per game.
