The Chicago Bulls turned to the Longhorn State in Tuesday’s 2026 NBA Draft, selecting former Texas junior guard Dailyn Swain with the No. 15 overall pick.

The 6-foot-7 Swain turned in a standout season in 2025-26, delivering 17.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. Swain played his previous two seasons at Xavier, declaring for the NBA Draft having averaged 11.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game in his collegiate career.

Swain was one of the most physically gifted wings in this NBA Draft class, building a solid first-round case after putting together his most complete college season. He is a strong slasher and projects as a plus perimeter defender but is still coming into his own on the offensive end.

The Bulls went 31-51 in 2025-26, with coach Billy Donovan leaving his post at season’s end. Chicago hired Portland Trail Blazers interim Tiago Splitter to succeed Donovan after stepping into the head job and excelling in Portland last season.

Swain was Chicago’s second pick in Tuesday’s first round. The Bulls selected former North Carolina forward Caleb Wilson with the No. 4 overall pick. Chicago also holds two second-round selections – the No. 38 and No. 56 overall picks.
