Former Georgia DB Daylen Everette was known as a player who made huge plays from the secondary. Countless times during his career for the Bulldogs, he made the big play that changed games.

On Sunday, he did that in the NFL, as he got his first career interception for the Pittsburgh Steelers against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With the Steelers down 16-10, Everette undercut a pass thrown to Emeka Egbuka and made the play.

While hadn’t made the big play yet for the Steelers, he has become a big part of the Steelers defense and showing the Steelers drafted him with the No. 86 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Everette played all four of his college football seasons at Georgia, finishing with 149 tackles, five interceptions and two forced fumbles. Arguably his biggest play was a fumble return for a touchdown against the Ole Miss Rebels last year in the College Football Playoff.

He was named First-Team All-SEC last season, and was also a part of the Georgia national championship team in 2022.

Everette put together a special career at Georgia, and the early indications are that he may be in store for a very productive career with the Steelers.
