Former Texas A&M star Myles Garrett will play for a new NFL team in 2026.

According to reports from ESPN’s NFL insiders, the Cleveland Browns are trading Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for Jared Verse and draft picks.

The No. 1 overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft, Garrett has played his entire professional career in Cleveland. He previously requested a trade from the Browns in the 2025 offseason, but remained with the club through the season.

Garrett has had a decorated NFL career. The NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2023 and ’25, he holds records for most sacks in a season (23) and most consecutive seasons with 12 sacks or more (6). He was named first-team All-Pro in 2020, ’21, ’23, ’24 and ’25. He has also been selected to the Pro Bowl 7 times in his career.

At Texas A&M, Garrett was an All-American in 2015 and 2016.
