Jeremiyah Love reveals the quarterback he most wants to play with in NFL
Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love is a prospect that NFL evaluators have been salivating over for quite some time. The 20-year-old tailback averaged 6.9 yards per carry with the Fighting Irish as a sophomore in 2024, then posted the same mark with a higher workload in 2025. Add in his pass-catching chops, and he has the makings of a superstar at the next level.
While many teams are hoping to land the former Notre Dame standout early in the 2026 NFL Draft, he has his eyes on one particular destination. When speaking with Rotoworld at the NFL Combine, he told Lawrence Jackson Jr. and Connor Rogers that he wants to “play with the best quarterback.” He added that Jackson and Rogers “know who that is.”
Out of context, this answer may seem clouded in secrecy. ‘Maybe he thinks Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, or Joe Burrow is the best quarterback.’ But during an interview with Rich Eisen, Love called Patrick Mahomes the cream of the crop.
So, he wants to play for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Kansas City missed the playoffs for the first time since 2014 last season. Their poor campaign may wind up widening their Super Bowl window if it allows them to snag Love, though. Right now, the Chiefs have the No. 9 overall pick.
ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has them selecting Love at that spot, and Kalshi gives Love the fifth-best odds of any player to be drafted in the top 10. Good luck to the rest of the league if Love is clad in red and white on Sundays next season.
