Latest ESPN Mock Draft has popular NFC team trade into top 10 to select SEC CB

LSU cornerback Mansoor Delane is projected to be selected by America’s Team in Peter Schrager’s latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft for ESPN.
Delane is the first SEC player off the board and one of just 2 SEC players selected before pick No. 15 according to Schrager. Specifically, Schrager has the Cowboys trading up to No. 9 for Delane, giving the Chiefs the No. 12 and 20 picks for the No. 9 and No. 29 pick.
Like many other NFL Mock Drafts you’ll find out there this week, Schrager’s first-round is backloaded with SEC talent. In total, he included 8 SEC players being selected in the first round, including Alabama quarterback Ty Simpson via trade.

- No. 30: Jermod McCoy, Tennessee — Miami Dolphins
- No. 31: Zion Young, Missouri — New England Patriots
- No. 32: Ty Simpson, Alabama — Arizona Cardinals (trade via SEA)
