Oscar Delp’s NFL dreams were realized on Friday night, his family and friends went crazy, and then there was the situation with his dog that totally took on a whole story of its own.
The New Orleans Saints took the Georgia tight end off the board in the 3rd round of the 2026 NFL Draft, grabbing Delp with the 73rd overall selection and sending Delp and his loyalists into a frenzy at their watch party. Delp made a little Bulldog history, becoming the first Georgia tight end to be drafted since Brock Bowers went 13th overall to the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2024 draft.
But back to Friday night, when another Bulldog tight end was taken in the draft and his own dog made everyone on social media take notice with awe and affection.
It was indeed a great moment for Delp, who flashed that new Saints hat with pride and then had his seat on the couch taken by his furry friend.
Naturally, social media had some fun with the Delp dog frenzy, because there was plenty to get caught up in for the dog once all of those humans started making all that noise.

Here is some of the reaction to the Delp dog deal on social media:
