Nix has already shown that he can make an impact with his legs. During his rookie season, he finished with 430 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns, adding another dimension to Denver’s offense.

Kenneth Walker More Than 0.5 Player Touchdowns

Walker is entering his first season with Kansas City after spending the first three years of his career with Seattle. The Chiefs added him to give their offense another explosive option in the running game.

The Broncos led the NFL with 68 sacks last season, making their defensive front one of the biggest challenges Kansas City will face. The Chiefs will also be without starting left tackle Josh Simmons, which could make it even more important to establish the running game.

Patrick Mahomes Less Than 224.5 Passing Yards

This is one of my favorite projections because of the circumstances surrounding Mahomes’ return.

The Chiefs quarterback is coming off a serious knee injury and hasn’t played in a regular-season game since last December. Mahomes has been cleared to return and has practiced fully, but Monday night will still be his first game action since suffering the injury.

The biggest storyline is obviously Mahomes’ return. Still, this matchup could ultimately come down to whether Denver’s pass rush could make life difficult for the Chiefs quarterback and whether Kansas City can establish Walker early.
