Damar Hamlin update: Representative for Bills safety provides details on condition, says player's 'vitals are back to normal'
Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field during Monday Night Football against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The Buffalo Bills defender was down for several minutes, and emergency personnel had to perform CPR on him. An ambulance was brought on the field and Hamlin was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The NFL eventually made the decision to postpone the game and players left the field. Now the only thing that matters is Hamlin’s health.
His representative, Jordon Rooney, provided an update on Monday night after Hamlin arrived at the hospital. Rooney tweeted that Hamlin’s vitals are “back to normal,” and added that Hamlin was put to sleep in order to get a breathing tube down his throat:
Update on Damar:
His vitals are back to normal and they have put him to sleep to put a breathing tube down his throat. They are currently running tests.
We will provide updates as we have them.

While there is likely still a long road to recovery for Hamlin, who is still in critical condition, the news about his vitals is a positive update.
Hopefully there is more good news to report on Hamlin soon.
Praying for his full recovery.
Good news that his vitals are back… But continued prayers for him and his family. People are honoring him at his Toys for Tots GoFundMe, look for gofund.me 01e78364
Yeah, he was seeking $2500 and got almost a million in a matter of minutes, from what I read.
First priority is keep the heart pumping, and blood flowing. This will bring vitals back to within normal if successful. This does not mean he’s breathing on his own, the machine is for him. Than it’s a wait and see, also tests to check brain activity. For now, we know nothing and may never know for sure, depending on how his condition fares. Praying for the best.
Praying.
Good news. I hope the young man has no issues from this.
Glad to hear it. GOD please continue to be with this young man and his family.
Welcome news.
