Key Ohio State player announces he didn't travel with the Buckeyes to Miami due to COVID-19
The Ohio State Buckeyes are playing No. 1 Alabama with a chance to win a national championship in Miami on Monday night.
However, when they kick off in a couple of hours, they’ll do so without a key specialist — K Blake Haubeil.
Reporter Kyle Rowland tweeted that Haubeil announced on Instagram that he did not travel with the Buckeyes to Miami due to a positive COVID-19 test:
In an Instagram post, Ohio State kicker Blake Haubeil reveals that he tested positive for COVID-19 and did not travel with the Buckeyes to Miami.

Haubeil has been solid this season, making all 24 of his extra points and 5 of his 7 field-goal attempts.
So, who will kick for the Buckeyes? Freshman Jake Seibert has made all 13 of his extra point tries this year, but went 0-for-1 on field goals. We’ll see how he fares tonight.
