Jayden Jackson drew interest from coast to coast during his college recruitment. The sought-after blue-chip lineman in the Class of 2024 has decided to play in the SEC.

Jackson collected scholarship offers from 32 schools. He narrowed things down to Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Miami and Ohio State heading into Thursday’s decision. Jackson announced his verbal pledge to Brent Venables’ program during a live stream Thursday.

A standout at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, Jackson’s listed measurements are 6-2, 300 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Jackson is rated 4-stars, the No. 44 defensive lineman, No. 62 recruit in the state of Florida and No. 446 prospect overall in the 2024 recruiting class. Jackson has accepted an invitation to play in the Polynesian Bowl all-star game after the 2023 season.

OU hosted Jackson for an official visit in June. On social media, Jackson shared photos and a video from his trip to Norman, offering Sooners fans a preview of how he looks sporting crimson and cream.

With Jackson on board, Oklahoma now has 13 commitments in its 2024 class. Highlights from Jackson’s junior season can be viewed below, via Hudl:
