DK Metcalf turned heads by putting on a show at the 2019 NFL Combine and it appears he is doing the same in Seattle during his first training camp with the Seahawks.

The team’s second-round pick in the latest NFL Draft from Ole Miss, Metcalf caught 67 passes for 1,228 yards and 14 touchdowns in Oxford but many believe he has only begun to scratch the surface of what he can accomplish on the football field. Judging by recent comments by Seahawk starting quarterback Russell Wilson, you can put him in that category.

When recently asked who was standing out this training camp, unprovoked, Wilson first pointed toward Metcalf.

“It’s great seeing DK make his plays,” Wilson answered. “I think DK is looking really, really special. He can do anything and everything. He’s tremendous.”

It’s never bad to have the face of the franchise on your side as Metcalf appears to have early in his career. If the two develop a bond on the football field, there’s no telling how far Metcalf could rise as he hopes to develop into the No. 1 target for Seattle’s star quarterback.
