It’s safe to say Lane Kiffin and Mike Wilbon won’t be exchanging Christmas cards this year.

On Tuesday’s “Pardon the Interruption,” Wilbon unloaded on Kiffin, calling the Ole Miss head coach “a clown” and “an embarrassment” while discussing the Rebels’ showdown with No. 1 Alabama. A home-recording of Wilbon’s rant is making the rounds on Twitter.

Kiffin quote-tweeted the video, saying that he’ll pray for Wilbon and that life is too short to be as angry as the ESPN host.

Wilbon previously shared strong words for Kiffin in August 2020. At that time, some Power 5 conferences had canceled fall college football seasons, Kiffin had suggested that those players should be allowed to transfer and be eligible for schools in conferences that plan to play.

“I have never agreed with anything Lane Kiffin has said and I’m glad to have consistency on this here program today,” Wilbon said last year. “The notion that that kid may be a student too, these coaches now, more than ever are looking like liars. … Lane Kiffin doesn’t give a damn about the student part. … These coaches want these guys to be pros, except they’re not getting paid.”
