Kamarion Franklin has made his decision and the 5-star defensive lineman is remaining in the state with his commitment to Ole Miss.

The 6-foot-5, 265-pound Franklin selected Ole Miss over offers from Auburn, Miami, and Tennessee. Franklin is regarded by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 1 recruit from Mississippi and the nation’s No. 8 defensive lineman for the Class of 2024.

Franklin, who plays for Lake Cormorant High School, is excited to continue his career in Mississippi.

“The opportunity to put on for my home state and put my state on notice,” Franklin said to On3. “The relationships I have developed at Ole Miss is also what led to this decision. My ability to impact my state is major and I’m ready to put on for it!”

In their scouting report, On3 describes Franklin as a defender who “wreaks havoc” with his “get off and brute strength.” Here’s the excerpt from On3:

“Disruptive off the edge and lives in the backfield…Instinctive and heady player for a sophomore. Has some hip stiffness but makes up for it with foot speed and play recognition.”

Ole Miss currently ranks 24th nationally in recruiting for the Class of 2024 according to 247Sports.
