Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss defeated Penn State 38-25 in the Peach Bowl on Saturday afternoon.

In his post game press conference, Kiffin was asked about Penn State fan account on X that appeared to be tied to an Ole Miss email address. The account received attention throughout the run-up to the Peach Bowl.

On Friday night, he person behind the account claimed to have had a conversation with Penn State players about how the Nittany Lions were planning to “target” Ole Miss offensive linemen Jeremy James and Caleb Warren. However, Penn State fans quickly discovered that the account seemingly belonged to Ole Miss student assistant Fisher Ray. Here are a couple of screenshots with the evidence:

In his postgame press conference, Kiffin confirmed that Ray does own the account and that it was made as a “troll account.”

“I was made aware of that. I was glad we won … so they couldn’t use it as bulletin board material,” Kiffin said. “I thought it was pretty funny, because they discovered it was Fisher Ray, one of our student assistants, who did that. It was all in good fun. I hope the fans had good fun with that.”

In the end, Ole Miss got the last laugh with a 38-25 win over the Nittany Lions. The Rebels have now won 11 games for the first time in program history.
