Lane Kiffin and Ole Miss are working on putting together their recruiting class for 2025. With Wednesday opening the early signing period, the Rebels are off to a hot start.
The team successfully flipped Tyler Lockhart, a 4-star linebacker, from his commitment to Mississippi State. Lockhart held a signing ceremony at his high school and began his speech by thanking God, his family and friends, and his coaches.
“With that being said, I’ll be going to Ole Miss,” said Lockhart, to thunderous applause.

Lockhart stars for Winona High School in Winona, MS. The 247Sports Composite ranking has Lockhart as the No. 16 LB overall and the No. 5 prospect out of Mississippi in the 2025 class.
In 2024 as a senior, Lockhart racked up 81 total tackles and 9 tackles for loss. The talented LB helped the Winona Tigers go 3-1 in district games during his senior season.
Lockhart originally committed to Auburn back in May. The LB stayed committed to the Tigers until flipping to Mississippi State in September. Then, on Wednesday, Lockhart flipped one more time to the Rebels.
“Merry Flipmas!” said the official Ole Miss account in their announcement post.
