Former Ole Miss wide receiver Laquon Treadwell is getting another NFL shot.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jacksonville Jaguars have signed Treadwell to a contract. The wide receiver recently tried out for the Jaguars team during minicamp.

After having a huge college career with the Rebels — 202 receptions for 2,383 yards and 21 touchdowns, the Minnesota Vikings drafted Treadwell with the 23rd overall pick in 2016, but he’s never lived up to the first-round hype. In fact, he’s been a huge disappointment. In 58 career games, Treadwell has caught just 71 passes for 750 yards and 4 touchdowns. His best season came in 2018 when he caught 35 passes for 302 yards and 1 touchdown.

Following Treadwell’s time in Minnesota, he resurfaced in Atlanta last season. He appeared in just 5 games catching 6 passes, including 2 touchdowns.

However, Urban Meyer thinks Treadwell is worthy of another NFL shot. He recruited the top receiver out of high school as the head coach of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Treadwell was among 4 players Meyer and the Jaguars brought in for tryouts.

Treadwell is just 26 years old, but does he have any juice left in the tank?
