Matt Corral rips into team after Vanderbilt win, issues strong comments about Egg Bowl
Matt Corral and the Ole Miss Rebels beat Vanderbilt 31-17 on Saturday night in Oxford, but it was far from a convincing win.
Beating the Commodores by 2 touchdowns at home is nothing to brag about this year, as Vanderbilt is staring down its second-straight winless SEC season.
After the win, coach Lane Kiffin said he couldn’t decide whether he wanted to rip his team or not. He said Corral was already doing it for him by the time he got to the locker room:
Lane Kiffin said he wasn’t sure if he wanted to rip into the team postgame given the overall performance. He eventually decided against it. Instead, Matt Corral did the job for him, and Kiffin loved seeing it. pic.twitter.com/vUGNytkIlv

Corral, during his own press conference, reiterated the point about the Rebels’ effort against Vanderbilt not being enough to beat Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl on Thursday night:
Matt Corral, with some strong words: "If we play like that against Mississippi State, we're going to get blown out."

It’s safe to say the star quarterback doesn’t want to lose his final Egg Bowl. Can the Rebels get it together and pick up win No. 10? We’ll find out on Thanksgiving night!
